TPTP PAC OPPOSES Joe Straus as Texas House Speaker and SUPPORTS Ken Paxton as a more conservative and appropriate candidate for the next session of the Texas Legislature.  We have encouraged our House Representative, Rob Orr, to reflect these views.

TPTP PAC SUPPORTS: More Conservative Leadership in the Texas House: The TPTP PAC supports thePledgeWithTexans_4 originating from the Texas Conservative Coalition and signed by 62 conservative legislators and 2 statewide elected officials [as of Nov 9, 2010].  The TPTP PAC supports the letter [Ltr House Empower 20101104] sent from Empower Texans and other tea party and conservative organizations requiring  “A change to a more conservative Speaker is in order.”

TPTP PAC SUPPORTS: Ethics Complaint Against the Burleson ISD Board: During the most recent Tax Ratification Election [TRE] in Burleson for a 13 cent tax increase in BISD property taxes, it became clear that there were some irregularities in the performance of this election [Ltr BISD Atty R2].  Burleson citizens and the TPTP PAC felt there were egregious violations of the law and an ethics complaint was filed with the Texas Ethics Commission.  If you would like to participate in this complaint or support us in offsetting legal fees, please send your donation [made out to TPTP PAC] to our PO Box address.

TPTP SUPPORTS: Constitutional Amendment to Eliminate Property Taxes in Texas: Write your representative and express your view.  A detailed revenue analysis can be found here: EliminatingthePropertyTaxinTexas
